The Building Process

Custom Home Building Process

When it comes to an Egret Bay Builders custom home, the difference is in the details. An Egret Bay Home is more than four walls and a roof. It is the culmination of a design concept, the product of dozens of craftsmen guided by a detailed supervisory process, built on time and on budget. Our custom home building process, decision making, and values differ from other builders. We believe in building true custom homes. One of the greatest advantages of design/build is that we know the cost and can design to your targeted budget.  Ultimately, your complete satisfaction is not only our goal, it is our responsibility.

Plans

Where some builders may start by asking you to look through magazines of floor plans, we begin the design process by sitting down with you to discuss your lifestyle and how you will live in your new Egret Bay Builders Beach home. Once we understand what your needs are, we will begin the preliminary design process. We then go over the design and make adjustments based on your feedback. As design development continues and is completed, we will prepare final Construction Drawings, with Selections and Final Cost.

Finishes

As drawings proceed, we will begin to schedule appointments with our vendors to select finishes for your new home. We have designers we can recommend that will prepare a package for your review, inclusive of all selections such as hardware, appliances, flooring, lighting, cabinets, and paint. Designers will help insure that the selections made coincide with your budget and overall design goal.

Construction

Once your sales agreement has been completed, all documents for permits and the ARB are submitted. It is now time to break ground and enjoy the excitement as your home is skillfully constructed. Throughout the construction phase, our Homeowner Login Portal will keep you involved with constant communication, progress updates, and photos of each phase. We welcome you to stop by your home and follow its progress. It’s our hope that as the foundation and framework of your new home grow stronger, so does our relationship.
